“Personal, hands-on involvement. That’s the cornerstone of LBA.”

“I learned hotel management from the ground up. I studied my uncles, who were independent motel owners. I listened to desk clerks, night auditors, room attendants, everyone who would take time to share. By the time I opened my first property in 1972, I knew one thing, I still had a lot to learn. And guess what? I’m still listening to frontline associates and learning from them today.
“I can’t overemphasize the importance of empowering people to make decisions and offer suggestions about improving their work and the way they do it. We bring the same respect and service-centered approach to our relations with our owners. And, especially, to our guests. It’s the difference you feel when you walk into one of our hotels.
“Today, we manage over sixty properties, with more in the works. That first hotel? It’s still in our portfolio. Many of our owners and associates have been with us almost as long. And many of our guests have become good friends.”
