Marty Baylor Returns To Dothan To Open Second Hilton-Branded Hotel
New Hilton Garden Inn to open May 21
Dothan, AL – May 13, 2009 – Larry Blumberg & Associates (LBA) today announced that Marty Baylor, who served as general manager for Dothan’s Hampton Inn & Suites from 2004 to 2007, has returned to LBA’s hometown and will open the new 104-room Hilton Garden Inn, located at 171 Hospitality Lane, on May 21.
Beau Benton, chief operating officer, said, “It is great to have Marty back with the LBA family. Marty opened the Dothan Hampton Inn & Suites for LBA in 2004 and proved herself as an award-winning general manager. When family responsibilities required her to move to Tennessee, I told Marty I would only accept her resignation as a leave of absence. Now that circumstances have allowed her to move back to Dothan, I am thrilled to have her back; she is the ultimate professional and develops a true culture of hospitality.”

The award-winning Baylor, who has worked since 1985 in the hospitality industry, holds a Lighthouse Award from Hilton Hotel Corporation, led the Dothan Hampton Inn & Suites to Hotel of the Year for LBA in 2006, and served as president of the Brentwood, Tenn., Sales and Marketing Association in 1997.
